In a show of support for International Men’s Day, CIBC Caribbean has made a financial contribution to the Gray’s Green Sports Club, benefiting local boys and young men. The donation, presented by Michael Roach, Platinum Banking Manager, underscores the bank’s dedication to youth development and community engagement.
“The Gray’s Green Sports Club serves 25 young boys aged 8 to 15 from the Gray’s Farm and Green Bay areas. Through this contribution, we aim to convey to these boys and young men that they are valued members of our community,” Roach stated. He emphasized the importance of sports in fostering healthy development, discipline, and teamwork.
Roach, a local resident, expressed pride in representing CIBC Caribbean: “As someone from this area, I feel honored to contribute to our youth.”
Akeem Grant, co-founder of the Gray’s Green Sports Club, expressed gratitude for the bank’s timely and appreciated support.

In addition to the financial contribution, CIBC Caribbean’s male staff hosted Dr. Ian Thomas, a respected nephrologist, for a presentation on Men’s Health, followed by an engaging Q&A session. Roach recognized Dr. Thomas’s insights as both timely and enlightening, stressing the importance of health awareness among the bank’s male employees.
This year, International Men’s Day was celebrated under the theme “Celebrating Men and Boys.”

Love seeing companies invest in young boys and their communities. This is how real change starts.
As someone from the area, this means a lot. These boys deserve every opportunity.
I even forgot about international men’s day. Nothing reminded me of the observance
Strong gesture from the bank. Community involvement always earns respect
