AIDS Manager urges HIV-positive individuals to pursue treatment

In four days, the Christmas Barrel Initiative will be launched for this year.

This time around the program will run from December 1 to January 15, 2026.

This program aims to ease the burden on households during the holiday season by allowing the importation of personal-use items at reduced costs.

The Christmas Barrel initiative allows householders to import clothing, food items and toiletries for personal use in a standard sized shipping barrel or a 17.9 cubic foot e-container, which is equivalent to a standard barrel.

A modest US $10.00 processing fee plus a Revenue Recovery Charge (RRC) of 10% on the value of items imported under the scheme is charged.
