The Rotary Club of Antigua has significantly expanded its long-standing “Meals on Wheels” programme this month, following generous contributions from philanthropist Mark Raab and the West Indies Oil Company (WIOC).
The initiative, in operation since 1985, traditionally provides about 100 bags of dried groceries each month to vulnerable individuals and families. The project is largely supported through proceeds from the club’s popular annual fundraiser, Colours Fete.

For the third consecutive year, Mark Raab has funded an entire month of distributions, allowing the programme to temporarily scale up its reach. With Raab’s support and an additional donation from WIOC, Rotarians were able to pack 191 extra grocery bags, bringing November’s total to 285—nearly triple the usual output.
Club members say the expanded effort means many more households will benefit from essential food supplies during a period when needs are especially high.

The Rotary Club of Antigua is encouraging members of the public to learn more about its community projects and consider offering support. The organisation says donations and volunteer participation remain critical to sustaining its nearly four-decade commitment to assisting the most vulnerable.

Wowwww great stuff
Always happy when rotary do their thing. I always believe charities like these should be supported more by the people
Expanding “Meals on Wheels” shows real commitment to supporting vulnerable communities. Tripling grocery support will make a tangible difference for so many families who rely on these programs. Community-driven initiatives like this are exactly the kind of effort that truly matters.
Community groups taking on this level of responsibility highlights how essential these programs have become, especially for seniors and low-income families.
