The Halo Foundation has donated $10,000 to support a major new initiative by The Blue Dragonfly Foundation and the Diocese of St. John’s-Basseterre at the Mount Tabor Retreat in Antigua’s rainforest.
The funds will go toward purchasing an Interactive Whiteboard, a key assistive technology designed to enhance learning for individuals with disabilities.
The device will enable students, particularly those with autism, developmental disabilities, and sensory challenges, to engage with digital content through touch, enlarged visuals, text-to-speech, handwriting-to-text tools, and other customizable features.
The Blue Dragonfly Foundation is transforming the Mount Tabor site into an inclusive training and therapeutic centre.
Plans include a farm-to-table restaurant and hydroponic farm to provide practical job training for autistic teens and young adults. An on-site classroom and sensory room will further support specialized therapies and communication development.
The Halo Foundation praised the initiative, calling it an important step for inclusive care in Antigua and Barbuda.
“We believe that every person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential,” said Lady Williams, President and Founder of the Halo Foundation. “This initiative aligns perfectly with our commitment to inclusion, compassion, and transformative change.”
The project aims to create a nurturing environment that promotes independence, skills development, and long-term opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Curious to know what programs they have planned at Mount Tabor. Sounds promising!
