​A Syrian national is nursing gunshot wounds at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre following a robbery at his restaurant in Pares Village on Thursday night.

The injured man, who owns Habile Restaurant located along the Pares Main Road, was reportedly attacked during the late-night hours when armed assailants carried out a robbery at the business establishment. Details surrounding the incident remain limited as investigations continue.

​Emergency services were summoned, and the victim was transported to hospital, where he remains under medical care. His current condition has not been officially disclosed.
