Antigua and Barbuda Reassures U.S. Travellers Amid Visa Reports

Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has moved to reassure travellers from the United States and international travel partners that recent reports concerning U.S. visa restrictions for Antiguan and Barbudan nationals do not affect travel to or from the destination.

Officials confirmed that there have been no changes to entry or exit requirements for U.S. citizens or other international visitors travelling to Antigua and Barbuda. Airports and seaports across the country remain fully operational, and travel continues without disruption.

Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment Minister, the Honourable H. Charles Fernandez, emphasised that the destination remains open and welcoming to all visitors.

“Antigua and Barbuda is open for business, and we are delighted to welcome visitors as always with our signature hospitality, world-class beaches, rich culture and exceptional service,” Fernandez said. “Our tourism sector continues to operate normally, and travellers can plan their visits with complete confidence.”

The Ministry reiterated that Antigua and Barbuda remains a safe, vibrant and welcoming destination, offering visitors a wide range of experiences including its 365 beaches, luxury accommodations, historic and heritage attractions, diverse culinary offerings and warm, friendly communities.

With the winter tourism season now underway, Antigua and Barbuda is anticipating another strong period for visitor arrivals. Officials also extended holiday greetings to travellers, travel advisors, airlines and industry partners.

Travellers and travel partners are encouraged to continue planning trips to Antigua and Barbuda with confidence, as the country looks forward to welcoming visitors throughout the season.
