LIAT Air has marked another major step in its regional expansion with the launch of a new non-stop service between Antigua and Santo Domingo, strengthening air links between the Eastern Caribbean and one of the region’s most important hubs. Antigua.news was on the ground as the airline celebrated its inaugural arrival in the Dominican Republic’s capital.

With one plane out of commission how will all these routes be covered with two planes?
LIAT keeping the Caribbean close-knit, love seeing our islands working together like this!
Finally! No more hopping through multiple islands to get to the Dominican Republic. This will save time and money
Hoping to hear good things from LIAT in the future
Santo Domingo is a major hub. This move makes sense strategically and could boost tourism both ways.
Hope the fares stay affordable so ordinary people can benefit, not just business travellers
As usual it’s cheaper for me to fly to the states than to fly LIAT to Punta Cana. Ticket price is 2x’s the ticket price from Anu to JFK
Regional integration isn’t just talk air links like this make it real
