Halo Foundation’s President, Lady Sandra Williams, and the organisation’s Patron, Governor-General Sir Rodney Williams presents $5000 to the Friends of the Care Project
The Halo Foundation has spread Christmas cheer to differently abled children with a $5,000 donation to the Friends of the Care Project, reaffirming its commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the community.
The presentation was made under the leadership of the Foundation’s President, Sandra Williams, with the organisation’s Patron, Governor-General Rodney Williams, lending his support to the initiative.
Addressing those gathered, Lady Williams said she was deeply moved by the progress shown by the children over the past year, noting significant improvements in both their mental and physical development.
“I was moved to tears to see how greatly the skills of the children have improved,” she said.
She commended the management and staff of the Friends of the Care Project, including physiotherapists and caregivers, for what she described as their exceptional dedication and consistent supervision of residents and participants in the Outreach Programme.
Lady Williams also praised parents for recognising the challenges faced by their children and seeking the necessary support to enhance their quality of life. She highlighted the importance of emotional encouragement and access to formal education in nurturing the development of young minds.
The donation forms part of the Halo Foundation’s annual Christmas outreach, aimed at providing tangible support while raising awareness about the needs and potential of differently abled children in Antigua and Barbuda.

Thanks for the donation. Greatly appreciated
More organizations should follow this example. Government and private sector included. Christmas is about love not lights
