St. John’s Boardwalk has now been officially repaired
Repair works have been completed on the section of the waterfront boardwalk that collapsed earlier this month, restoring safe access between Redcliffe Quay and Heritage Quay in time for the continued surge in cruise arrivals.
The collapse, which occurred on a high-traffic cruise day, caused alarm among vendors, visitors, and business operators in the area.
Following the incident, Port Manager Darwin Telemaque and other officials pledged swift action to prevent prolonged disruption in one of the most visited parts of the capital.
Water taxis were temporarily relocated to the Montserrat Ferry Terminal to ease congestion and reduce pressure on the weakened section.

Key words going forward – inspection and maintenance. You can’t just throw up a structure and not engage in those two activities. Like the old folks say…..”An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.
Good work by the crew, but this shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Maintenance matters!
Tourism drives our economy maintaining infrastructure is key, and this is the right step.
Swift move relocating the water taxis. Good planning and teamwork
Kudos to the Port Authority for the fast turnaround
Great to see quick action. Safety must always come first especially with so many visitors in town
