A 55-inch television set was reported stolen from the Clare Hall Seventh Day Adventist Church following a break-in during the Christmas holiday period.

Police say the incident occurred sometime between 1:30 p.m. on December 27 and 6:00 p.m. on December 30, when unknown individuals unlawfully entered the church compound.

According to reports, the perpetrators used a hard object to shatter a northern window to gain access to the building. Once inside, they allegedly made their way to the church office, where the alarm system was disabled.

Investigators say the suspects then retrieved a ladder from a storage room and used it to reach and remove the wall-mounted television. The brand and exact value of the stolen item have not yet been determined.

The intruders are believed to have exited the premises through a western metal door.

The matter remains under active investigation as police continue efforts to identify those responsible.

    • How can you tell when something is stolen? There’s so many things selling on buy and sell Antigua! I can’t see a tv and suggest that it’s stolen can I? Unless the TV has a mark on it then that’s different. Can’t say people wicked enough to buy stolen goods. It’s the people that’s selling to that’s wicked
