Police have intensified their presence in the Grays Farm area and surrounding communities following a joint operation aimed at curbing criminal activity and improving public safety.
The operation was carried out on Friday, January 2, and involved several search exercises and vehicle checkpoints across Grays Green, Nut Grove, Golden Grove, Cashew Hill and other nearby residential districts. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda to disrupt illegal activity and maintain order within communities.
During the exercise, more than 70 vehicles were stopped and searched by officers. A number of motorists were ticketed for various traffic offences, while one vehicle was seized and taken to the Government Motor Pool.
Police also reported the seizure of several weapons and prohibited items, including knives, cutlasses, camouflage clothing and a large quantity of cannabis. No further details were provided on arrests, if any, arising from the operation.
The coordinated effort brought together officers from multiple departments, underscoring the force’s continued reliance on joint operations as a key crime-fighting strategy.
The Royal Police Force said it remains committed to proactive policing, reducing violent crime and ensuring the safety of residents and visitors alike. Members of the public are being encouraged to cooperate with police and to report suspicious activity by contacting their nearest police station or calling Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).

These government vehicles still on road?
Don’t try to shift the focus. These petty crimes are not as important as the one involving law enforcement like that youtman down bolandz
Grays Green, Nut Grove, Golden Grove, Cashew Hill. These areas sound like hot spots
One government vehicle was seized? Vehicle gate continues then
Great work police. But there are many unsolved crimes in antigua that need attention. In these cases they are not vehicles but actual people
Why does crime keep happening in Grays Farm? Seizures today, problems tomorrow. Something bigger needs to be done.
Instead of harassing people go look for the other government vehicles and return them
Sorry but I only saw one government vehicle was taken lol
