Two men who plead guilty to cannabis possession offences were sentenced on Wednesday at the All Saints Magistrate’s Court.

Terrance “Funk” Roberts, 48, of Federation Road, was fined five thousand dollars after pleading guilty to having just over 260 grams of cannabis. He has one year to pay or will serve one year in prison.

In a separate case, Roshawn Elliott, 32, of Potters Village, was fined fifteen thousand dollars for possessing nearly half a kilo of cannabis. He also has one year to pay. If he fails to do so, he will serve eighteen months in prison.

  5. This is why the laws need reform. Too many young men getting trapped in the system for cannabis

  6. At least the court gave them time to pay. Jail for weed in 2026 still feels outdated
