Two Taken into Custody as Police Execute Search Warrants in Barbuda

Police have stepped up crime-fighting operations on the sister isle of Barbuda by executing multiple search warrants on Friday, resulting in arrests and the seizure of electronic devices.

A coordinated operation involving officers from the mainland and Barbuda targeted several residential properties as part of ongoing investigations.

During the exercise, police seized two mobile phones and took two individuals into custody on suspicion of larceny. The suspects are currently being held at the Barbuda Police Station as investigations continue.

The Police Administration says the operation forms part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening public safety and maintaining law and order across both islands.

Officials have reaffirmed their commitment to proactive policing and sustained enforcement efforts to ensure safer communities.

Investigations remain ongoing.
