Mini Fridge Stolen During House Break-In at Campsite

Police are investigating a house breaking and larceny incident in the Campsite area after a residence owned by a Canadian national was broken into and an appliance stolen.

According to reports, the caretaker of a house contacted the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to report the incident.

He told police that unknown individuals broke into the property and stole a red and white mini fridge. The value of the stolen item is still to be determined.

The offence is believed to have occurred sometime between 8:00 a.m. on January 16, 2026, and 12:12 p.m. on January 18, 2026.

During investigations, police visited the scene and observed that the intruders apparently used a large stone to gain height, enabling entry through the window.

Once inside, the suspects reportedly ransacked the house and removed the mini fridge from the kitchen. Investigators determined that the point of exit was a western front door, which had also been forced open.

A search was conducted in the surrounding area for suspicious individuals and the stolen appliance, but no arrests were made and the fridge was not recovered.
