
42-Year-Old Nikisha Rose of Grays Farm
Police are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 42-year-old Nikisha Rose of Parliament Street, Gray’s Farm, following an incident late Friday night in Michael’s Village.
The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, January 23, in the vicinity of the G&E Parking Lot. Rose and a male companion were travelling in a motor vehicle when an unknown assailant opened fire on the vehicle, striking both occupants.
Both victims were rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre with gunshot wounds. Rose later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 11:21 p.m.
The male victim, also from Gray’s Farm, sustained gunshot wounds and remains hospitalised in stable condition.
Police say investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting are ongoing.
Meanwhile, law enforcement officials are appealing to anyone with information that may assist the investigation to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).
The Police Administration has extended sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Nikisha Rose during this difficult time.
