Flights between Antigua and New York have been disrupted as a powerful winter snow storm continues to blanket large parts of the northeastern United States, forcing major airlines to cancel services.
As New York remains under heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures, American Airlines and JetBlue Airways have cancelled their scheduled flights to and from V.C. Bird International Airport (VCBIA), citing unsafe weather conditions and operational challenges at major airports.
The storm has significantly impacted operations at New York’s key airports, including John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia, where snow accumulation, poor visibility and de-icing delays have led to widespread cancellations and delays.
The cancellations have affected passengers travelling between Antigua and New York, including residents returning home, visitors departing the island, and those transiting through the busy New York route.

Better safe than sorry. Take care and stay warm all
