The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda has begun a new training cycle with fifty‑three recruits stepping into Course #50.
An opening ceremony at the Sir Wright F. George Police Academy brought together Commissioner Everton Jeffers and senior leaders to welcome the group.
Commissioner Jeffers reminded recruits that policing is a calling built on honour, courage, and integrity. He urged them to wear the uniform with humility and pride while serving every member of the community with fairness and respect.
The event also featured remarks from Deputy Commissioner Louisa Benjamin‑Quashie, guidance from Commandant Superintendent Rodney Ellis, and a prayer from Pastor Kendall Doyle.

Over the next six months, recruits will take part in academic, physical, and practical training to prepare them for professional service. The Force extends best wishes as they begin this important journey.

Proud moment for Course #50. May these recruits lead with integrity, protect with courage, and serve every community in Antigua and Barbuda with respect and fairness.
May this group help strengthen trust between the Force and the community.
Policing today takes courage. Anyone signing up now knows exactly what they’re walking into.
Six months of hard work ahead stay focused and disciplined. The community is counting on you.
I hope that they are not rotten elements like those old ones
Well done to the leadership team at the academy for shaping the next generation of officers.
