The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has taken a major step to enhance the country’s cultural and festival offerings with the purchase of a large-scale stage, Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced.
In a social media post, Prime Minister Browne said the acquisition is part of a broader strategy to invest in the nation’s creative arts infrastructure. “We continue to invest heavily in the infrastructure and ecosystem for the creative arts. Above is a massive stage purchased by GOAB, to be followed by an investment in sound and lighting, to level up our festival’s production,” he wrote.

The new stage is expected to serve as a focal point for upcoming festivals, providing local performers with a modern platform while giving audiences an enhanced viewing experience.
Further investments in sound and lighting are planned, signaling a comprehensive approach to improving festival production and elevating the overall entertainment experience for both locals and visitors.
This initiative comes amid a growing push to strengthen the nation’s creative economy and ensure that Antigua and Barbuda remains a vibrant cultural destination in the Caribbean.
