Minister Fernandez meets with taxi association members and other stakeholders
Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment, the Hon. H. Charles Fernandez, whose portfolio includes oversight of the V.C. Bird International Airport, is currently meeting with members of the Airport Taxi Association and key airport stakeholders to advance decisive action on the management of ground transportation services.
The Minister’s objective is to ensure that ground transportation at the airport operates under safe, fair, and professional standards that protect the interests of both service providers and passengers. Central to the discussions is the airport’s vision of building a ground transportation system that is safe, reliable, and professionally managed… one that enhances the visitor experience while supporting local operators.
This engagement underscores a shared commitment to strengthening order, accountability, and service excellence, ensuring that all stakeholders, from taxi operators to travelers, both local and international, benefit from a well-regulated and high-performing transportation environment.

They want they alone to eat?
Not just that…they are trouble makers.
Professionalism is key. Uniforms, proper customer service training, and clear signage would make a big difference
Please make sure small operators dont get pushed out. Everybody deserves a fair chance
stop giving the old minister trouble. Taxi operators want only them to eat bread. Its a long time since they are like that
Good. The airport is the first handshake with the country, it can’t feel disorganized.
I hope this means clear rates and no confusion for passengers because some taxi operators charge higher than others
I have never met a taxi operator in Antigua who isnt a troublemarker. Stop stressing out the Minister. Cant you see the man is old and tired.
