Expert Testimony
According to a report from Antigua Observer, an FBI special agent with 18 years of experience, including eight with the Cellular Analysis Survey Team, presented cellphone tower data that bolstered the driver’s account of the events on July 10, 2020 – the day Custom’s official Nigel Christian was murdered.
The agent’s expert analysis of phone records for both the driver and murder-accused Saleim Harrigan, one of the accused, revealed a pattern that aligns with the driver’s timeline that was shared on a previous court day during the case.
Background on the Case
Nigel Christian, a senior Customs official, was abducted from his McKinnons home on July 10, 2020. He was later found dead, with multiple gunshot wounds, in the Thibou’s area. The individuals accused of his murder—Lasean Bully from Cashew Hill, Wayne Thomas from Hatton, and Saleim Harrigan from Greenbay—have all maintained their innocence.

Timeline of Events
- 2:58 p.m.: The driver contacted Harrigan, with the call connecting to a cell tower near a bike shop in Browne’s Avenue. This area is where Wayne Thomas was reportedly picked up on the day of the murder.
- 4:33 p.m. to 4:34 p.m.: Calls from the driver’s phone were traced near Christian’s home and the place where the accused allegedly changed clothes, utilizing Friars Hill Road and Dickenson Bay towers. The driver was in communication with an unidentified individual during this time.
- 5:48 p.m. to 5:49 p.m.: Phone activity indicated proximity to where Christian’s vehicle was discovered. Harrigan attempted to call the driver twice, but both calls were missed.
- 6:01 p.m.: A call between Harrigan and the driver connected through the Pigotts Hill tower, which also covers the location of Christian’s vehicle. This time, the call was answered.
- 6:32 p.m. and 6:57 p.m.: Calls between Harrigan and the driver used towers in the Holberton area, supporting the driver’s claim that he dropped two men near the bike shop after the incident.
- 7:42 p.m.: The driver’s last recorded phone activity was a call from a Gray’s Hill tower with an unknown party.

Harrigan’s Phone Activity
Harrigan’s phone activity was mapped by the FBI expert:
-
At 2:40 p.m., his phone was detected near his residence.
-
At 2:58 p.m., it transitioned to the Perry Bay tower when he called the driver.
-
Post-shooting, Harrigan’s phone connected through multiple towers, indicating movement: New Winthorpes at 5:48 p.m. and 5:49 p.m.; North Sound at 6:01 p.m.; Clare Hall at 6:13 p.m.; and back near the bike shop by 6:32 p.m.
The expert noted that Harrigan always initiated contact with the driver and there was a communication gap from 3:16 to 5:58 p.m.
Analysis and Conclusion
The FBI agent explained that historical call detail analysis is based on cellphone company records, which show which towers were used for calls. Typically, a phone connects to the nearest tower with the strongest signal, providing a reliable location indication. However, in rare cases, a phone might connect to a farther tower.
The cellphone data corroborates the driver’s testimony, who claimed he transported the accused on the day of Christian’s murder. He asserted that Harrigan contacted him to pick up Bully and later Thomas, and they discussed their plans in the vehicle. The driver alleged that the accused abducted Christian at gunpoint from his McKinnons home and later drove him to Thibou’s, where he was killed. The driver stated he followed them discreetly and witnessed the aftermath, cooperating out of fear for his safety.

My foolish question is, “Who commissioned these men to execute this heinous crime? Why are these men the. fall guys? Where does Mt Badu fit in this murky mess?
Is this murder linked to the custom officer who was shot so badly he lost the use of his legs?
Christian’s sister subsequently went missing. Did someone believe that she knew something?
Will money and influence redact the names of the mastermind of these crimes?
didnt somebody post something on fb a couple months back with this same crown witness and a certain politician something about this whole case just doesn’t add up. whoever posted that might have been telling the truth
This case is very interesting. I can see why it took so long
This case split Antigua straight down the middle. Some believe the driver, some don’t. But FBI involvement show how serious it is.
From McKinnons to Thibou’s to back near town the movements sounding deliberate. This not no random thing.
All now my heart still heavy for Nigel Christian and his family. Five years later and we still reliving this pain. Justice must be clear and clean.
So after all these years, the phone data lining up with the driver story? Hmmm. Technology don’t lie easy, you know. This case getting deeper and deeper.
this is so obvious what happened
People have no regard for life anymore and its painfully sad
Support from a reputable agency like the FBI underscores how carefully courts must evaluate testimony. The outcome still depends on full legal review.
