Man Charged After Police Seize 30‑Round Firearm Magazine

A 33-year-old man from Nut Grove has been arrested and officially charged in connection with the seizure of a firearm magazine during a collaborative police operation.

Alex Joseph faces charges for the Possession of a Firearm, specifically one Pro Mag thirty (30) round 9mm magazine. The incident took place around 4:50 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, along Simon Boulevard in the St. Johnston’s Village area.

A coordinated stop-and-search operation was executed by officers from various specialized units, including the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Task Force, Special Services Unit (SSU), Firearms and Evidence Recovery Unit (FERU), Serious Crime Unit, K-9 Unit, and the Police Armory, which led to the confiscation of the illegal item.

Joseph is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday to respond to the charges.

  3. A 30-round 9mm magazine is not something you casually carry. The potential for violence is real, and this arrest likely prevented possible harm.
