Cashew Hill Man Remanded on Firearm Charges

A family have been remanded to court after being caught with an illegal firearm cartridge.

Averly Jno Baptiste Senior, Averly Jno Baptiste Junior and Tarnalee Jno Baptiste of Sea View Farm were brought before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Thursday, where they faced a charge of possessing a single twelve-gauge cartridge without a firearm user’s licence.

With their lawyer absent from court, the three were unable to enter a plea. Chief Magistrate Emanuel remanded the matter to March 11, when the family is expected to formally respond to the charge.
