The murder case against Angela Mejia, the woman accused of killing nine-year-old Chantel Crump, has been committed to the May Assizes after prosecutors submitted their exhibit list in the St. John’s Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The updated list, which contains at least 28 items, includes two CD-ROMs — one containing approximately 40 crime scene photographs and another with over 150 autopsy images — along with a pathology report and a flash drive described as forensic evidence tagged to Chantel Crump.

Physical items listed as exhibits include clothing recovered from the scene, among them a Five Islands Primary School uniform, pink and white underwear, black school shoes, and a white vest.
Other items include 2 KFC bags and cups, and a flashlight.

A date will be set at the High Court during the May Assizes sitting.

  1. Thought they said they didn’t find uniform at the scene? How now there’s evidence of uniform taken from the scene? That means her body was truly mutilated. Cause now all truths are coming out.
