Two Hospitalised After Paynters Crash Amid Spate of Evening Accidents

A 41-year-old prison officer and a 16-year-old boy were rushed to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Paynters on Friday evening.

The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m., though the exact circumstances remain unclear. The woman, who was behind the wheel of one of the vehicles, and her teenage passenger were both assisted by Emergency Medical Services personnel and transported for treatment.

Both victims reportedly complained of pain to the back, neck and head.

The incident comes during an exceptionally busy period for EMS teams, marking the third crash within a two-hour span on Friday evening. The two earlier incidents both resulted in fatalities.
