LETTER: Letter to Anthony Smith and Maria Bird-Browne on Forgotten Montrulla Road

Minister Maria Browne and Minister Anthony Smith

Dear Editor

Mr Legit did a video a few months ago September 2025 promising to concrete the road from All Saints Road all the way into Buckleys/ Olivers and that was last year. He did the video at night in Montrulla next to the shed where the rastman lives, however other than scraping the road NOTHING has been done to date.

Miss Maria Browne and her Public works which he has moved over too graded the road down and just left it unfinished to do other areas such as Golden Grove Extension, Jennings Externsion, Liberta, Seaviee Farm, Mount Plesant and All Saints Village and pouring concrete nightly on said villages. Can it be fair that road has been left in a WORST condition than Public works met it and NOTHING has been done to date to finish the concrete?

As a matter of fact the road has gotten worse than how it was originally. Every time it rains, the road is extremely muddy, car are sliding here there and everywhere and there are lot of newly formed potholes in the road which is purely disgraceful.

Mr Smith, if this critically artery is fixed before the general election next month 20 votes you will be losing instantaneously from my homes, one in Olivers and one in All Saints which are in your constituency. The neibours around has also said the same thing. You start the road finish it as you promised.

The time is now for you, the Prime Minister and Minister of Works Miss Maria Bird Browne to fix this vital artery.

ABLP all the way, Harold Lovell is a sore loser. Once that road is fixed we are Legit with #Anthony Smith.

Btw Mr Legit, if that road is not fixed in Montrulla or no work is seen been done on said road as you promised. Myself and my family will NOT be voting for you neither the neighbours around the area.

We deserve the concrete road with steel as you promised. Remember most people own cars and vans in the area, the road is destroying our vehicles, even pick-up truck owners complains about the said road. Its time to fix it Mr Legit and Public Works.

This will be my last and final appeal!!

Sincerely,
Henry Fuller

  1. Sadly St Mary’s South by the radio lighthouse has really horrible roads too. My family and I has been living here for 3 years now and I have never seen any road works done, kids going to school and persons that have to catch has a really difficult time when ot rains that road is not suited for pigs. I don’t even know who the MP is.. it’s very poor representation over here not to mention my neighbors that are living here for so long have nothing good to say they are totally hopeless about the roads and they believe our community means nothing to the powers that be. It very bad if election comes ans they don’t fix the roads its another 4 years before we might have another opportunity for better roads

  2. Maria Browne I’ve been trying to meet with you since September 2025 – 7 months later still no luck. Ms Armstrong in your office keeps pushing back the dates saying your busy, your off island, or my favorite you didn’t come in today, is she cherry picking who gets to see you or maybe it’s her friends only that can meet you. Are you ever in your office to listen to the cries of your constituents or are you a BIG Minister now so forget the little people who put you there So Disappointed!!
