The University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus hosted its Wellness Expo 2026 today, offering free health screenings, demonstrations, and wellness activities to the public.

Running under the theme “FIC Wellness in Action” and the tagline “Your health is your wealth,” the expo was open to all and featured free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, BMI, and vision.

Special screenings for HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, HPV, and prostate are also available on campus grounds.

Beyond the screenings, school children from across the island, including the Golden Grove Primary and the Five Islands Primary School, participated in demonstrations covering first aid, disaster preparedness, and fire safety as well as a Zumba session.
