Police Administration reminds the public about Good Friday alcohol restrictions
Alcohol sales are not permitted on Good Friday, April 3, 2026. The Police Administration issues this reminder in keeping with the Licensing (Intoxicating Liquor) (Amendment) Act, No. 9 of 2014, of Antigua and Barbuda.
All premises licensed to sell, show, or store alcohol for retail must close for the entire day, unless they hold a hotel, tavern, or club licence. The restriction starts at midnight on Thursday, April 2, and ends at midnight on Good Friday.
Businesses affected by this rule are expected to comply. Breaking the law can lead to licence cancellation and other penalties.
The Police Administration thanks the public for working with them.

I Guess Alcohol Consumption Is A Bigger Issue Than Rising Gun Crime
@UnCONcernedAntiguanCitizen
You sound stupid!!!!
That’s call respect for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You’ll always trying to downplay rules and regulations when given by the law…
So before you comment such a stupid remark, think about the reason things are being down and why!!!
Now about the guns why not go on your knees and pray about that situation.. THE POLICE alone can’t see everything. We as citizens should be watchful and be vigilant as well…..
