The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda is highlighting what it describes as more than a decade of “exceptional growth,” crediting Prime Minister Gaston Browne and his administration for steering the country through global challenges while advancing national development.
In a statement, Cabinet pointed to the past twelve years as a period marked by strong and decisive leadership, noting that the government has positioned Antigua and Barbuda as a resilient and forward-moving small state.
Officials emphasized that in an increasingly uncertain global environment, characterized by economic instability, climate-related threats, and shifting geopolitical dynamics, experienced leadership remains critical to safeguarding progress and driving continued expansion.
Cabinet said the country now stands at a “defining moment,” urging citizens to fully engage in the democratic process. It stressed that voting is both a civic responsibility and an opportunity to shape the nation’s future.
The statement called on voters to support leadership that is “strong, capable, and committed” to maintaining stability and delivering further economic and social gains.
Cabinet also encouraged eligible voters to ensure their registration is in order ahead of the upcoming polls, reinforcing the importance of participation in determining the country’s direction.
The government reaffirmed its commitment to continued development, urging national unity and a shared focus on advancing the progress achieved under the current administration.

I am still not seeing and feeling the growth. Gaston and his cronies can say that they’re seeing and feeling the growth. They all are benefiting who became multi-millionaires overnight—say, it’s been 12 years under his leadership —while other citizens struggle tremendously. Do you know how many Antiguans migrated out of the country because of his leadership? He offers all foreign investors and businesses concessions, while street-side vendors struggle to clear their goods at the Customs port due to high duties.
