Brianna Clark

A candlelight vigil walkthrough has been planned for later this month to honour the memory of a young girl who was shot dead last month.

The tribute, scheduled for April 23rd at 7:00 pm. will wind through the streets of Villa in memory of Brianna Clarke, 18, who was shot and killed on the night of March 26th in an incident that shocked the neighbourhood and the wider public. Omarie Lewis, 17, also died in the same shooting.

The procession will begin at Baker Corner and move along Back Street, turning left onto Byrons Street and left again onto Hand Street, the street the two victims called home, where those gathered will stop for a moment of prayer. The walk will then continue onto Amy Byers Street, right onto Central Street, left onto Blackburn South, before concluding at Paradise Cove.

Brianna Clarke, who is being remembered by loved ones as “Forever 18,” was just at the start of her adult life when she was killed.
