Leader of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) and Prime Minister Gaston Browne has been re-elected unopposed as political leader of the party, solidifying his continued leadership ahead of the upcoming general elections.
The announcement was made during the party’s national convention on Sunday, where delegates also confirmed that E.P. Chet Greene will continue in his role as Chairman.
The convention, which brought together party supporters, candidates, and senior officials, saw a unified slate of executives endorsed, signaling stability and cohesion within the ABLP as it prepares for the April 30 polls.

• Chairman: E.P. Chet Greene
• First Vice Chairman: Daryll Matthew
• Second Vice Chairman: Clement Antonio
• Third Vice Chairman: Donna Chaia
• Treasurer: Abena St. Luce
• General Secretary: Shenella Govia
• Supervisor of Elections: Mary Edwards
• Public Relations Officer: Angelica O’Donoghue
Additional Appointments & Resolutions
• Trustees: Hilroy Humphreys, Alincia Williams-Grant, Sir Molwyn Joseph
• Tribunal Chairman: Sir Lionel Max Hurst
• Labour Advisory Committee:
o Chairman: ABLP Chairman
o Deputy Chairman: President of the Antigua and Barbuda Trades and Labour Union
o Members include senior labour representatives
The convention also paid tribute to long-serving General Secretary Mary Clare Hurst, who was honoured with the title of General Secretary for her 13 years of service.
In addition, special recognition was given to Sir Molwyn Joseph for over four decades of contribution to national development and service to the party.
The resolutions, including the full executive slate, were unanimously adopted by delegates, reflecting strong internal support as the ABLP moves into campaign mode.
