Family in Shock After 24-Year-Old Dies from Heart Attack Despite EMS Efforts

A family is reeling in shock following the sudden death of a 24-year-old woman who suffered a heart attack on Monday, despite urgent and sustained efforts by emergency responders to save her life.

According to state media, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel were dispatched shortly after midday to Buckleys after reports that the young woman was unresponsive. Upon arrival, emergency medical technicians immediately began life-saving measures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

A passing motorist reported seeing two EMS units transporting the woman with urgency to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, underscoring the rapid response mounted by first responders.

Despite what officials described as valiant and determined efforts by EMS personnel both on the scene and during transit, the woman was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

In a statement, EMS management expressed deep condolences to the grieving family and loved ones, while also commending the professionalism and dedication of the responding medics. The team, Coull Graham, Timra Mourillon, Deika Alfred, and Marina Walker was praised for their outstanding efforts under extremely challenging circumstances.

The incident has left many in the community shaken, as questions and concerns often arise when such a young life is lost so suddenly.
