A family is reeling in shock following the sudden death of a 24-year-old woman who suffered a heart attack on Monday, despite urgent and sustained efforts by emergency responders to save her life.
According to state media, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel were dispatched shortly after midday to Buckleys after reports that the young woman was unresponsive. Upon arrival, emergency medical technicians immediately began life-saving measures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
A passing motorist reported seeing two EMS units transporting the woman with urgency to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, underscoring the rapid response mounted by first responders.
Despite what officials described as valiant and determined efforts by EMS personnel both on the scene and during transit, the woman was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
In a statement, EMS management expressed deep condolences to the grieving family and loved ones, while also commending the professionalism and dedication of the responding medics. The team, Coull Graham, Timra Mourillon, Deika Alfred, and Marina Walker was praised for their outstanding efforts under extremely challenging circumstances.
The incident has left many in the community shaken, as questions and concerns often arise when such a young life is lost so suddenly.

Wow. This is so sad
Sad situation condolences to the family😞💔
So many young people are dying young . Sorry for your loss
24. Wow. Thats a tender age
This is truly heartbreaking. A 24-year-old life gone so suddenly is something no family can ever be prepared for. My deepest condolences go out to her loved ones during this incredibly painful time.
You have to commend the EMS team for their quick and professional response. They did everything possible, CPR, AED, and rapid transport. Sometimes, despite all efforts, outcomes are still tragic.
A life gone too soon at just 24 is deeply tragic. Rest in peace to the young woman, and sincere respect to the EMS team who fought to save her. I find the EMS team don’t get enough praise for their efforts and people play around with them and we need to end that right now.
This cannot be easy for any family
Alot of obeah going around the place we have to be mindful of that
My condolences to her family.
RIP
