Adrian Williams, the United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate for St. John’s City South, has outlined a vision to transform the constituency into a hub of commerce and cottage industry, saying voters are hungry for change after years of stagnation.
Williams, the newest candidate in the field, said the positive energy he has encountered while canvassing has reinforced his confidence despite the challenges of entering the race late.
He acknowledged that being new to the campaign trail can make canvassing difficult but claims the momentum in his favour is undeniable.
Williams is contesting a constituency that has consistently elected Sir Steadroy Benjamin to the Lower House but said the challenge does not intimidate him.
Williams said he is approaching the election with what he described as an indescribable calm.

Every election we hearing ‘change coming’… but what exactly he bringing different? People want details now, not just vibes
City South need real economic activity, not just talk. If he serious about cottage industry, show people how they making money from it
Man move your ass with your pie in the sky vision
Everybody say people ‘hungry for change’… but Antigua voters does stick with who they know
Adrian if your name doesnt even ring a bell how can anyone vote for you.
Big task to unseat Steadroy, that man rooted deep. But nothing wrong with new energy either
