Green Bay Man Admits to Illegal Gun and Ammunition Possession

A 21-year-old man has admitted in court to illegally possessing a modified firearm and ammunition, more than a year after the offences took place.

Joel Isaac, of Green Bay, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this weekand pleaded guilty to two charges under the Firearms Act — both stemming from an incident on July 27th, 2025, at Nut Grove.

He admitted to possessing a modified flare gun without a firearm users’ licence, and to separately possessing one round of 9mm GFL Luger ammunition without the required licence.

Isaac, who was represented by attorney Warren Cassell, is currently on bail from the High Court and will remain on bail while he awaits sentencing.

Sentencing has been adjourned to May 12th.
