Stanley “Abbott” Warner
Police are investigating the sudden death of a 65-year-old English Harbour resident who was found unresponsive inside his vehicle along All Saints Road early Saturday morning.
Stanley Warner was discovered shortly after 5:20 a.m. when officers from the All Saints Police Station, on routine mobile patrol, noticed a vehicle parked along the northern side of the road near the All Saints Pentecostal Church with its headlights on and engine running.
Suspicious of the unattended vehicle, officers approached and found Warner alone inside, unresponsive. Emergency personnel were called to the scene, where a doctor later pronounced him dead at about 8:10 a.m.
Early investigations have not uncovered any signs of foul play, according to police, though authorities say a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
Investigators said Warner was last seen alive sometime after 10 p.m. on Friday.
The incident has left many in shock, particularly as Warner was reportedly found in circumstances that raised initial concern among responding officers.
Police said investigations remain ongoing as they work to establish what led to his sudden death. Condolences have been extended to his family and loved ones.
