Police Seek Public Help in Easter Sunday Shooting Investigation

The police have apprehended two male suspects linked to a shooting incident that took place along Queen Elizabeth Highway shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 26.

Incident Details

Preliminary investigations indicate that a 28-year-old man from Grays Farm was in the vicinity of “Timmy Times” when a silver vehicle traveling east to west passed by, followed by several loud gunshots. The man was reportedly shot during this occurrence.

The injured individual is currently receiving medical care at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for gunshot wounds. Medical professionals have stated that his injuries are not life-threatening; however, he is expected to undergo surgery.

Damage Report

Several parked vehicles in the area also sustained damage as a result of the incident.

The police have since recovered a firearm and multiple spent shells from the scene.

Public Assurance


The Police Administration aims to reassure the public that, based on the information gathered thus far, the incident is neither gang-related nor politically motivated, and it is not connected to the event held at the Rising Sun Grounds the previous evening.

The police strongly denounce this act of violence and continue to encourage the public to assist their efforts in maintaining peace and security.
