Trailer jutting out into Factory Road called into question as a potential hazard

Dear Editor,

I am compelled to raise concern over a dangerous situation on Factory Road that has been staring motorists in the face for more than a week, with seemingly no urgency from those responsible for road safety.

A truck with an attached flatbed trailer has been left parked on the side of the road, but alarmingly, the rear of the trailer protrudes into the roadway, creating a serious hazard for drivers travelling from west to east on this busy highway. For anyone navigating the road at night or in heavy traffic, this is an accident waiting to happen.

The troubling part is that this danger appears preventable. The truck could have been pulled in further off the road, or assistance could have been called to remove or reposition the flatbed. Instead, it remains there, partially obstructing the roadway and threatening motorists day after day.

One must ask: where are the traffic wardens? Where are the authorities charged with ensuring our roads are safe? How can such an obvious hazard be allowed to remain for over a week without intervention?

Are we waiting for a crash, injuries, or worse before action is taken?

Factory Road is heavily travelled, and this obstruction needs to be moved immediately before tragedy strikes. Public safety cannot be treated as an afterthought.

I hope the relevant authorities take notice and act before this danger claims a victim.

Sincerely,
A Concerned Motorist
