St Peter Stays Red: ABLP’s Rawdon Turner Secures Overwhelming Victory

Rawdon Turner retains St Peter in the 2026 Antigua and Barbuda General Election

St Peter has returned to the fold of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party, with Rawdon Turner delivering a commanding performance in Thursday’s General Elections.

Turner, contesting on the ABLP ticket, secured more than 70 percent of the vote, comfortably defeating the United Progressive Party candidate George Wehner.

The result marks a decisive show of support for Turner in the constituency, reinforcing the ABLP’s strong presence in St Peter.
Early counts indicated a clear lead for Turner, which only widened as ballots continued to be tallied throughout the evening.

Wehner, representing the UPP, was unable to gain significant traction among voters, as the ABLP’s campaign machinery proved dominant on Election Day.

The outcome is being viewed as another major win for the ruling party as results continue to emerge across the country.
