Trevor Walker has successfully retained his seat for the Barbuda People’s Movement (BPM), securing over 60% of the votes in the Barbuda constituency in Thursday’s General Elections.

Walker’s victory reaffirms the BPM’s continued dominance on the sister island, as voters once again rallied behind the long-standing representative and his party’s platform.

The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), which contested the seat, was unable to make significant inroads, ultimately falling short as the majority of Barbudans backed Walker at the polls.
