Opposition Leader of Trinidad and Tobago Penny Beckles has conveyed her best wishes to Prime Minister Gaston Browne following his return to office after securing another term in the general election.
In a message issued after the results, Beckles congratulated Browne and his party on their win and offered warm wishes to the Government and people of Antigua and Barbuda.
“Congratulations to my brother, Prime Minister Gaston Browne, and the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party on your electoral victory,” she said.
Beckles also emphasized the importance of continued regional cooperation, highlighting the need for unity and partnership across the Caribbean.
“We look forward to continued collaboration in the spirit of Caribbean unity and partnership, and reaffirm our commitment to strengthening ties between our nations,” she added.
The message adds to a growing list of regional congratulatory statements following Browne’s decisive election win, which has further strengthened his position as one of the Caribbean’s longest-serving heads of government.
The ABLP’s victory ensures the continuation of its administration, with leaders across the region signalling interest in deepening diplomatic and developmental cooperation in the months ahead.
