Strong Community Turnout for Rotary Club Sundown Autism Awareness Walk

The Rotary Club of Antigua Sundown (RCAS) has expressed gratitude to residents, organisations, and corporate partners following a successful Autism Awareness Walk held recently at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

The event drew families, advocates, community groups, and supporters in a shared effort to promote greater awareness, understanding, and acceptance of autism and neurodiversity. Organisers said the strong turnout reflected growing community commitment to inclusion and support for persons on the autism spectrum.

RCAS extended special thanks to its sponsors, including INET, Antigua Concrete Services, Takumi Media, Go To Enterprise, Kayinks, DiWater Story, and others whose support helped to make the initiative possible.

The Club also acknowledged the contributions of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, and officials at the stadium, who ensured the event ran safely and smoothly from start to finish.

Special recognition was also given to the Blue Dragonfly Foundation and community advocate Ms. Caroline Hopton for their role in promoting the event and strengthening public awareness around autism.

“Events such as these remind us that awareness, acceptance and advocacy are strengthened when communities come together,” said President Nicole Stevens of the Rotary Club of Antigua Sundown “Every participant, sponsor and supporter played an important role in helping to shine a light on autism awareness.”

The Rotary Club of Antigua Sundown says it remains committed to initiatives focused on health, education, inclusion, and community development, and will continue working with partners to support meaningful outreach across Antigua and Barbuda.
