A 34-year-old man from All Saints has been arrested following a series of coordinated drug enforcement operations conducted by lawmen in All Saints and Liberta on Friday, May 29.
According to the Office of Strategic Communications (STRATCOM), officers attached to the Narcotics Department of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda carried out the targeted exercises with support from the K-9 Unit as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt illegal drug activity across the country.
During one operation in All Saints, a police K-9 unit reportedly alerted officers to the presence of illegal drugs on a property. A subsequent search led to the discovery of approximately one pound of cannabis, which was seized for further investigation.
In a separate incident during the same operational sweep, officers encountered another male resident of All Saints who was found in possession of 104.1 grams of cannabis. He was immediately arrested and transported to Police Headquarters along with the seized substances.
Police said the operations also extended into Liberta, where additional checks were carried out as part of broader efforts to target drug distribution networks.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda said it remains committed to sustained enforcement operations aimed at reducing the availability of illegal narcotics and enhancing public safety across communities.

Tell them you are from Canada and you are not feeling well, bet you walk out free with no charge, we are waiting to see how it plays out. THE COURTS ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE A HOT MESS.
So what is the street value of the cannabis? It sounds like a lot
104g is less than a quarter of a pound. Depending on quality, that would fetch about EC$3,000. Compare that with the 67 pounds that Canadian brought in and walk free after… something fishy.
