Police are investigating the theft of 40 cases of beer from a shipping container at a property in Marble Hill.
The incident reportedly occurred sometime between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. The stolen beer is valued at approximately EC$3,000.
According to police reports, the beer was stored inside a 40-foot shipping container situated on the western side of the property. Investigators believe the thieves gained access by forcing open a padlock that secured one of the container’s doors.
The suspects are believed to have used a hard object to pry the lock open before entering the container and removing the cases of beer.
Police officers visited the scene and carried out initial investigations. Several individuals in the surrounding area were questioned, but no information of value was obtained.
A search of nearby areas was also conducted in an attempt to recover the stolen items, however, the effort proved unsuccessful.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing as police work to identify those responsible and recover the stolen property. Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is encouraged to contact the police.
