Police Seeking Driver After Woman Injured in Alleged Hit-and-Run on Josephs Lane

Police are seeking the driver of a white Suzuki Jeep that allegedly struck a woman on Josephs Lane on Sunday evening before leaving the scene.

The incident reportedly occurred around 6:15 p.m. when the vehicle, bearing registration number A35386, hit the woman, causing injuries. Witnesses claim the driver stopped briefly after the collision but then drove away without rendering assistance.

The injured woman later reported the matter to the Grays Farm Police Station. However, she alleges that despite being told officers would respond to the scene, no police personnel arrived.

The woman also expressed frustration over her interaction with an officer stationed at the Grays Farm Police Station. According to her account, the officer appeared unconcerned about the incident and spoke to her in what she described as a harsh manner.

She further claimed that when she requested the officer’s identification number, he refused to provide it.

Information circulating following the incident suggests that the vehicle is registered to a resident of Federation Road, Grays Farm. Persons who know the registered owner are being asked to encourage him to contact the Traffic Department at Police Headquarters regarding the matter.

The incident has generated concern among residents, particularly because of allegations that the driver failed to remain at the scene and that the victim was left waiting for a police response.

Anyone with information that could assist investigators is urged to contact the police. Authorities are also appealing directly to the driver involved to come forward and cooperate with the investigation.

Police have not yet released an official statement on the matter. Investigations are ongoing.

    • So so quick to blurt out this guys name. It’s like something personal. I’m sure the news knew who did it. They just didn’t want to post the name. But here you are. Anyway, I hope he turn in himself and I hope the woman is okay. I want to believe he didn’t mean to drive off

  2. Well once that is infact the correct registration number and the person still lives at the address in ABTB’s system it should not be hard for law enforcement to find the individual and inspect the vehicle etc….Worse case is that is not the correct number or type of vehicle described and the person can verify where they were at the time….Sorry that happened wishing u all the best…
