Two men from Grays Farm are receiving treatment at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre after they were shot during an incident in the community on Tuesday evening.

According to information obtained by Antigua.news, one of the victims sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and is reported to be in critical condition. The second victim was shot in the legs and is also receiving medical treatment.

Family members and friends gathered at the hospital as both men were being prepared for surgery.

Details surrounding the shooting remain unclear. However, residents told Antigua.news they heard several gunshots ring out through the community approximately an hour and a half before the victims were transported to the hospital.

Police have launched an investigation into the shooting but had not released an official statement up to the time of publication.
