Search Continues for Three Barbuda Fishermen Missing at Sea

The Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) Coast Guard is continuing its search for three fishermen who disappeared while on a fishing trip last week.

The missing men have been identified as Rowel Martin, Gregory Questelles, and Cleofoster Jarvis.

According to Acting Commanding Officer of the Coast Guard, Captain Vaughn Simon, the Coast Guard was officially notified of the men’s disappearance on Monday, several days after they reportedly departed on their fishing expedition.

The three men were last seen leaving Port Wharf last Thursday aboard the fishing vessel Lady Madesha.

Despite ongoing search efforts, there has been no sign of either the men or their vessel.

The Coast Guard says search operations remain active as personnel continue to comb the surrounding waters in hopes of locating the missing fishermen.

Authorities are urging anyone with information that could assist in the search or help determine the vessel’s last known location to contact the ABDF Coast Guard or the nearest police station immediately.
