Eleazer “Fresshy” Francis, the businessman who was fatally shot in Freemans Village on Thursday morning, has been remembered as a beloved community figure whose death has left residents in shock.

Francis was shot shortly after 8 a.m. at the superette he operated along the Freemans Village Main Road. He is Antigua and Barbuda’s latest homicide victim.

Police have launched an investigation into the fatal shooting as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack and identify those responsible.
