A 44-year-old Barnes Hill man has been arrested and charged in connection with several alleged cheque fraud matters involving EC$221,000.
Police identified the accused as Lisbert Evans, who is alleged to have issued several cheques to businesses and individuals without having sufficient funds in his account to cover the payments.
The alleged offences reportedly occurred between April 17 and July 27, 2026, at several locations, including All Saints Road, Popeshead Street and Friars Hill Road.
As part of the investigation, police executed a search warrant at Evans’ Barnes Hill residence and recovered several items believed to be connected to the alleged offences.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda said investigations are continuing into other related fraud matters.
