Police have charged 20-year-old Jaquan Shaw of Cashew Hill with murder and two counts of attempted murder following Monday night’s shooting at a Bathlodge home.
Shaw is accused of killing 20-year-old Saquania Anthony and attempting to murder 24-year-old Kelvin Samuel and 13-year-old Joshua Meade. All three are from Bathlodge.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire at a residence at about 11:30 p.m. on September 21 and found Anthony unresponsive with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. She was later pronounced dead.
Samuel and Meade were also shot and taken to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for treatment.
According to preliminary police findings, several people were inside the home when three masked intruders reportedly forced their way in and fired several rounds.
