The management and staff of Chase Distributors are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our colleague, 45-year-old Eddy Montel, on Wednesday, September 23.
Mr Montel had been a member of staff for the past 18 months. He reported feeling unwell on Wednesday and was later found unresponsive in the company’s warehouse.
“Eddy was well loved by everyone here. He was a hard and serious worker who took pride in what he did. His passing has shocked us all,” said proprietor Desmond Chase. “Our hearts are with his family, and we will support them in whatever way we can.”
Mr Chase visited Montel’s family on Wednesday evening to offer his condolences personally and give his commitment to assist them during this difficult time.
On Thursday, the management and staff gathered with Mr Montel’s immediate family at Chase Distributors to observe a moment of silence in his memory. Prayers were also offered up.
