African and Caribbean fashion, cuisine and music will share the spotlight on Saturday, October 3, when the Antigua and Barbuda Reparations Support Commission hosts its Annual Africa-CARICOM Month Gala Dinner at the Cortsland Hotel.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the gala will celebrate the enduring ties between Africa and the Caribbean with an evening of food, entertainment and cultural expression.
Guests can enjoy an all-inclusive selection of African and Caribbean dishes, bringing together flavours and culinary traditions from both regions. They are also encouraged to dress in African or Caribbean-inspired attire, from traditional designs and bold prints to contemporary styles.
Prizes will be awarded to the Best Dressed Male and Female, and guests will have chances to win door prizes throughout the evening.
The gala is part of the Commission’s Africa-CARICOM Month activities. Organisers say it offers an opportunity to celebrate shared heritage and pass its history on to future generations.
Tickets cost EC$250, all-inclusive, and are available through TicketPulse. With interest building, prospective guests are encouraged to secure their tickets early.
